As an extension of our long-term commitment to improving education standards in the country, DAL Food worked in partnership with the British Council and UK Aid (Department of International Development) to bring the global education programme ‘Connecting Classrooms’ to Sudan.
Read MoreThis learning programme aims to improve the quality of education in schools through the provision of classroom and teacher resources as well as training courses, centred on integrating ‘21st Century’ skills into the classroom. Training in these skills (which include digital literacy, communication & collaboration, creativity & imagination, critical thinking & problem solving, student leadership, and global citizenship,) will enable children to be better prepared for the fast-evolving international environment and eventually be active members of the global economy.
Through this partnership, we will be able to reach a large number of teachers and provide them with the necessary training. We will also be able to provide pedagogic consultancy and organise policy dialogues around educational issues in order to explore ways of enhancing the professional skills of teachers.
